Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Oregon State University. She then went on to graduate with a Master of Medical Science from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and passed her national boards, receiving a score in the ninety-ninth percentile. Before attending physician’s assistant school, Jennifer worked in a mental health in-patient, adolescent treatment facility as a child and adolescent treatment specialist. During her college years, she also worked as a CNA with the elderly in care facilities.

 

Due to her work experiences, Jennifer enjoys practicing general pediatric care, pediatric mental health care, and women’s care. She also has received extensive training and additional certification in chronic wound care, including diabetic ulcers, venous stasis, pressure ulcers, and arterial ulcers. She enjoys partnering with her patients and recognizes the importance of preventative care as well as patient education.

 

In her spare time Jennifer enjoys reading, playing the piano and guitar, and doing anything outdoors with her husband and two children. She and her husband are very involved in their church leadership and worship team. She is also an avid horse-back rider, and is competitive on the hunter-jumper circuit.
