Valerie has been a long-time resident of the Portland Metro area and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Concordia University. Before becoming a PA, Valerie had years of experience working in emergency medicine, gastroenterology, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She then attended George Fox University’s inaugural PA program, where she obtained her Master’s and Doctorate of Medical Science. While Valerie enjoys all aspects of family medicine, her special interests include behavioral medicine and women’s health. She values the importance of communication and strives to establish trusting relationships with her patients to ensure their healthcare needs are met.

Her favorite pastimes include outdoor activities with her husband and yorkies, as well as socializing with family and friends. Additionally, she enjoys traveling, gardening, trying new foods, and volunteering in her local church.
