Meet Tarah Trokey, PA-C

Tarah will be joining us in late May or early June, 2018.

Tarah completed her bachelor of science in athletic training degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO where she was born and raised. She continued her sports medicine education at Missouri State University and graduated from a post-professional athletic training master degree program. Tarah served as certified athletic trainer at Mercy Sports Medicine Health Tracks as a graduate assistant and then as an employee for several years in Springfield, MO. She performed orthopedic rehabilitation on the athletic population treating a broad spectrum of acute and chronic injuries. She enjoyed all ages but especially enjoyed treating the adolescent population.

Tarah learned a tremendous amount as an athletic trainer, but knew from the start that she felt called to venture beyond the athletic population and pursue medicine. Tarah returned to Missouri State University and graduated from the physician assistant program in 2017. Tarah is passionate about treating each individual as a whole and serving all ages. She believes in the power of preventative care and the importance of the phrase, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care”.

Tarah is incredibly excited to join South Tabor Family Physicians in June and to serve in the Portland area as a physician assistant. Tarah enjoys trail running, lifting weights, and long, peaceful hikes. Tarah and her husband are ready to embrace Portland to the fullest!
